Gunpowder is a form of tea in which each leaf has been rolled into a small round pellet. Within hours of being plucked, this whole leaf green tea is gently steamed and then rolled into small tight pearls. When steeped, the leaves unfurl into long, luscious leaves, releasing a well-rounded, full-bodied flavor.
Ingredients:
Premium green tea
Directions:
- Half teaspoon (2 grams) of tea per 6-8 oz water
- Gunpowder is more dense than other teas so less is required when measuring by teaspoon.
- Infuse at 175°F for 3-5 min
Hint: If you want to make your tea stronger or are planning to ice it before it cools, add more tea, not more time. Steeping longer or at a higher temperature than recommended can cause tea to be bitter.
