Genmaicha is a unique blend of green tea combined with toasted brown rice, some grains of which have popped. The combination of toasted nutty sweetness from the rice and refreshing grassiness from the green tea makes for a cup that is pleasant and easy to enjoy. This tea is loaded with antioxidants and has a low caffeine content.
Ingredients:
Premium green tea, roasted and popped rice.
Directions:
- 1 teaspoon (2 grams) of tea per 6-8 oz water
- Infuse at 175-194°F for 2-5 min
Hint: If you want to make your tea stronger or are planning to ice it before it cools, add more tea, not more time. Steeping longer or at a higher temperature than recommended can cause tea to be bitter.
